             In our daily lives, countless memories are attached to particular objects, habits, or rituals, and certain sounds or smells signify an entire body of feeling. The slightest taste or an indescribable shift in the weather can return you to a moment years in the past. These associations may be conscious or subconscious, dramatic or mundane, and each link may be shared by many people; but the combination is unique.

             I explore these webs of association that connect our past with our present. Controlling transparency and textural finish enables some elements to be revealed where others have been glazed over or supplanted. One memory overlays another, while others are intertwined inseparably even though, to an external audience, they sound incongruent, completely unconnected.
